Continuity: Nokia N8 full review

Today, I shall carry on to the interface of the N8.

There are many widgets to choose from that have been pre-loaded on the Nokia N8, such as RSS newsfeeds and mail lets not forget static shortcuts.

However, distant a lot of the previous Nokia touchscreen phones, the highly praised Nokia N8 excludes the habit of lagging. With numerous apps grinding along in the background such as Opera browser, music player, camera and gallery, immigration between the homescreens remained smooth plus, I could comfortably add and remove widgets with no heavy delay.

The Ovi Store has a truck load of widgets for the N8 users which are really helpful but unfortunately this doesn’t really make it up when a lot of people want to have fun and functional range of things to put on their homescreens out of the box. Widgets do have a size, in result, heavy widgets can’t take up two cells for example, in plain simple English: the Facebook widget is very squashed, while the shortcut widget isn’t. Another issue that I  have with the widgets are the shortcut. You are only allowed to insert shortcuts in groups of four despite the choice of wanting one or less then four.

The homescreens on the Nokia N8 can only have a maximum of three and a minimum of one  with a bonus of having different wallpapers on each homescreen which I like a lot. It is necessary to slide between homescreens to commence the smooth transition between wallpapers, working well against the sliding widgets.

More to come tomorrow!
