The Nokia N8 currently runs on Symbian^3 OS and by now everyone has got PR 1.2 but it wasn’t such a big deal as it also made the device worse in some cases. Read the post where it aggravated the SMS and MMS problems. This hack at the Nokia N8 Portal hasn’t been tested out personally but the users that did try it out mention that it did work for them.

Look at the bottom of the post for the source link and the download files will be there.

Step 1:

Install CertUpdater.sisx.

Step 2:

Using you own application, sign CertHack.sis

Step 3:

Now be careful, install CertHack twice only, not more or less. If it does give an error, then only install it once more.

Step 4:

Now install any package using Leftup.zip to try and see if it works.

That’s all the steps that you need and if you’re wondering what this hack does, it will give the user full access to C/private,sys,resource,system. Please don’t forget that I haven’t tried this out therefore I don’t recommended it but it has worked with other users.
