Nokia N8 becomes the first device to provide unmatched data connectivity compared to any other device produced by Nokia before. As per the specifications released by Nokia, Nokia N8 supports High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) upto a speed of 10.2 Mbps. HSDPA is an enhanced mobile data connectivity protocol in the 3G (Third Generation of Mobile Technology) spectrum. HSDPA is used by UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) based mobile network operators. In simple terms, with HSDPA 10.2 Mbps, you can download data at a speed of approx. 1000 kb/Sec. However, this capacity needs to be supported by your operator.

Nokia N8 supports HSUPA (High-Speed Uplink Packet Access) upto a speed of 2.0 Mbps. HSUPA supported networks will allow you to upload data from your mobile phone at an improved speed and reliability.

Nokia N8 supports Bluetooth v3.0 which is a state-of-the-art technology picking up pace with rest of the mobile phone manufacturers.
