I recently encountered a problem with the Nokia N8 Suite. Even though the Ovi Suite was installed, when I plugged in my Nokia N8, the drivers were installing but it suddenly stopped. One of the reasons can be because your Nokia N8 USB connections isn’t enabled to Nokia Ovi Suite.

That was the reason for me, if that isn’t your problem then try a factory reset or even a hard reset but be warned, the hard reset will cause the loss of Ovi Maps and the Ovi Store. If you have done a hard reset then follow my guide on how to get the Ovi Store back.
