Top 20 Symbian^3 OS applications week
Nokian8portal shall host a Top 20 Symbian^3 OS applications week, where I, tell the readers all the top 20 applications in a week. Lets begin!
Symbian^3 was told to be a total flop by some N8 users but, now they have a chance to rethink their opinions.
Starting from the top- First up, the Podcatcher
The most used piece of Symbian freeware and, sadly, there should’t have been a need to download this.Nokia had a perfectly good Podcasting utility but it was neglected to the extent where it is now not retrievable.
Fantastic OPML feed transferring, a search engine for podcasts online, with excellent use of the album art and with the new appearance of the tabs, Podcatcher has its definite ‘pros’.
In second place is the new Youtube application.
For many days, the N8 users had to manually go to the web browser and input that you would like to go to Youtube. Now, there is no need for all that, just keep a shortcut on the homescreen of Youtube, with one click, you have entered Youtube!
This is a new native YouTube client for Symbian^3, with a bonus of full functions, it’s very fast to search and browse from clip to clip, works over Wi-Fi or 3G and, where the original footage allows, serves up a pretty high quality (though not native nHD) video stream, certainly good enough for casual viewing, nothing can beat it!
Since the OVI store is outdated, search for Youtube on m.google.com or Youtube might have a download link on their normal website.
More to come on the 26th December!
Stay tuned
